Da bambino sognava di disegnare gli abiti per le bellissime soubrette protagoniste degli spettacoli del sabato sera e grazie al suo talento è riuscito a realizzare questo ambizioso progetto.

Anton Giulio Grande è, infatti, oggi uno degli stilisti preferiti dalle star della TV e in molti spettacoli e fiction i suoi abiti sono protagonisti.

Nato a Lamezia Terme, ha studiato al Polimoda di Firenze (dove ha ottenuto il premio come Miglior allievo in occasione dei festeggiamenti per i vent’anni della scuola) e successivamente al Fit di New York; a soli 23 anni ha partecipato alla sfilata di piazza di Spagna e nel 2001 ha registrato un grande successo a Milano Collezioni; ha lavorato per maison prestigiose quali Gattinoni e Sorelle Fontana, per lanciare poi un suo marchio nel 1996.
Se oggi Grande è uno degli stilisti haute couture più apprezzati è anche perché veste le donne più belle e famose (per citarne soltanto una, Belen Rodriguez che a Sanremo era appunto vestita da Anton Giulio), ma nelle sue interviste sottolinea sempre che non bisogna avere un fisico perfetto per indossare le sue creazioni.
Infatti, quando disegna un modello pensa a una donna non bellissima, ma dalla grande personalità, una di quelle che quando entrano in una stanza si fanno subito notare e poi ricordare a lungo. Ma il successo delle sue collezioni non è soltanto legato alla visibilità dovuta ai riflettori dello star system, bensì alla qualità di capi che sono realizzati totalmente a mano, affidandosi all’esperienza artigianale della sua terra, in laboratori dove addirittura non si usa la macchina da cucire. Inevitabile, viste le sue origini calabresi, accostarlo alla figura del più famoso figlio di questa regione, Gianni Versace. Anche se ormai Anton Giulio non è più un ragazzo prodigio, una bella promessa della Calabria, ma un professionista affermato nel mondo dell’alta moda.

Although now Anton Giulio is no longer a boy prodigy, he is considered as the beautiful promise of Calabria, and as an established professional in the world of high fashion.
